I spent tonight repartitioning my hard drive and reinstalling Windows XP Home because Vista is horrible! If you get vista (only if you really feel the need to get vista) get a NEW PC with a CLEAN VISTA INSTALL or you will regret it even more than you already will when you buy vista in the first place. I am going to buy a few licenses of XP pro just in case I get a new PC in the near future. They won't stop supporting it for some time, they will just stop selling it. Whilst all the bells and whistles in vista are good (if you have the hardware to back it up), from a productivity point of view, the low demands of XP are great XP for the win!
