Nintendo Wii controllersI took a little trip with a few friends last Saturday morning to the far off land of Northern Ireland. Why? you might ask. Well, a friend of mine purchased the new Nintendo Wii on its release date along with an extra controller and a few games. So after roughly 10 hours of Wii on the weekend, here is my review.

This is without doubt the future of console gaming. The motion sensitive control is still in its infancy but it is so innovative, and so much god damn fun. We couldn’t get enough of Wii sports with bowling, tennis, golf and even boxing. We were hooked!

The boxing is a little basic and unresponsive, but still great fun. Personally, the golf was my favourite, it feels so real it was just amazing.

Admittedly I don’t think it is going to have much longevity when playing alone, but when you have your friends around, this really kicks up another gear.

If any of you are sitting on the fence this Christmas still undecided as to which console you should buy then get down now and head to the nearest stockist. Not only is it 1/3 the price of the soon to be released PS3, its so much more fun. GO GET IT!!

    Damn straight!

I’ve been telling everyone I know to get this thing. I actually can’t remember _EVER_ having more fun on a console than I’ve been having with Wii Sports.

    Go Nintendo :o

Agreed - great fun is to be had with this console.

Let’s hope developers are brave enough to create some great games for it!!
