Google themes now available
Google have finally gone and gotten themselves a web designer. Now you can choose from a variety of themes for your google homepage to take away that bare white look. There are as yet 7 themes you can choose from including the original. most are quite well thought out although I found some of them lacked the contrast that the original had making picking out relevant news stories such a breeze. I eventually settled on the ‘bus stop’ theme despite this.
The first cool thing about is that it changes to coincide with the weather conditions and time in your local area. Well! If you live in the US it does.
I think I’m the guy in the red tracksuit…but trying to become the guy in the suit beside him…haha!
I’ve found a rather useful page detailing the different states for each theme.

This isn’t all thought folks. Google have apparently hidden some ‘Easter Eggs’ in themes; certain areas which when clicked at the right time of day contain a hidden surprise. Here is a small selection of what people have come across so far.

This is very cool, but I don’t see where the option is to turn it on. Maybe I’m just dense - a little help?

Hey Mike, are you definitely using google’s personal homepage and not just the normal google search page?
http://www.google.com/ig is where you should be.
Its very easy to find when you’re there. It is beside the Add Stuff link on the top left.
