Channel 4 drops ‘wank week’
Young adolescent males everywhere will be disappointed to hear that Channel 4’s planned ‘Wank week’ has been removed from the channel’s schedule. Among one of the many programmes to face the chop is the “Masterurbate-a-thon” event which was being run in San Francisco to provide a safe environment for all of those out there who like to engage in the 5 knuckle shuffle in public. Yeh…can’t think of anyone I know who’s into that but hey, I’m sure they are out there. I mean come on Channel 4, all the proceeds were going to “help raise funds for the Center for Sex and Culture”. :p
According the The Guardian, the dopping of wood is “a bid to avoid further controversy in the aftermath of the Celebrity Big Brother racism row”. Unfortunately, dropping their ‘wank week’ has brought them as much publicity as airing it would have.
For any of you still with me, and sinking into a devastating depression, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Three of the planned documentaries have survived the chop and will air independently no longer under the guise of ‘wank week’.
